Just beginning my 3 week trip in the US – last night was the first concert- a recital for Xavier University in Cincinnati- despite torrential rain the audience was there in force and very warm. Off to PBS TV to do a big interview now with some Irish music on the bill maybe – then off to the airport to fly to California to play Shostakovich. Looking forward to playing in Nashville with the Symphony next week- Beethoven Piano Concerto No 1 – Nashville is twinned with Belfast – amazing !
